Establish baselines where outcomes are being quantified. Separate actual, estimated and modelled values and retain material calculation assumptions.
Change control
Material scope, architecture, data-access or risk changes should be documented and agreed rather than silently absorbed into delivery.
Customer data
Use the minimum data necessary for the agreed work, restrict access to authorised delivery needs, avoid unnecessary copies and follow agreed retention/deletion requirements.
Continuity & recovery
Identify critical delivery dependencies, keep recoverable project artefacts where appropriate, document key decisions and avoid single undocumented points of operational knowledge.
Security & vulnerability handling
Use least privilege, dependency/security checks appropriate to the work, responsible disclosure and documented remediation priorities for material findings.
Handover & exit
Provide agreed artefacts, configuration/documentation, known limitations, outstanding risks and practical ownership information so the client is not dependent on undocumented consultant knowledge.
Incident communication
Material security, data or delivery incidents should be escalated to appropriate contacts, contained, documented and followed by corrective actions proportionate to impact.
