Publish where appropriate
Where confidentiality and consultation rules allow, publish the submitted response or a faithful summary so the contribution can be independently inspected.
No endorsement inflation
Submitting evidence to government does not make Raeburn government-approved, formally endorsed or part of the policymaking body.
Conflicts disclosed
Material vendor, client or commercial interests relevant to a submission should be disclosed rather than hidden.
Versioned record
Record the consultation title, department, deadline, submission date, response version and eventual government outcome where published.
